Electronic response code : Tapas and I started looking at the electronics response code, mainly the first part i.e creating a 2d list
with the first column representing thePMT number and the second representing the arrival time for a photon in that PMT. The main part is the conversion of volume name to PMT number. Each PMT is divided into about 6 volumes, so this just grabs the volume name at the cathode of each PMT and translates it into a more useful number.
Also we see how collection efficiency has been calculated = No of photons hitting particlar PMT/ Totalnumber of initial photons.
Next step is the pulse shaping code - which Tapas and I plan to look at today.
We will discuss more about this in detector response meeting. And then run this code on the present simulation. Few hard coded numbers which we need to figure out.
Background benchmark studies : Running the energy deposits simulation at the bottom done (0,0,-350)mm for 6 different cases : Singledecay Co60, SingleDecay K40, DecayChainTh232, DecayChainU238, neutron sources from U238, Th232.
