Visa Information
Participants should check if they require a visa to enter the United States on the U.S. Department of State's U.S. Visas website.
For the purpose of attending this workshop, citizens from many foreign countries would need to obtain a visitor visa (category B-1) for travel to the U.S.
Foreign travelers, who are citizens from certain eligible countries, may also be able to visit the U.S. for business (e.g. attend a scientific conference) or tourism for 90 days or less without a visa if they meet the Visa Waiver Program requirements. All Visa Waiver Program travelers must present a machine-readable passport at the U.S. port of entry to enter the U.S. without a visa; otherwise a U.S. visa is required. All eligible travelers who wish to travel under the Visa Waiver Program must apply for authorization on-line through ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization).
Currently processing times of visas can be quite long. So if you require a visa to enter the U.S., we strongly recommend that you start the visa application process as soon as possible.
NOTE: If you will need a letter of invitation to participate in the workshop for visa purposes, please email htc23@path-cc.io. Please include your national passport number, date of birth, title of the talk if you are giving one, and your postal mail address at your place of work, in your email request. Please note that the invitation letter (paper printout) will be sent to your place of work address only.
IMPORTANT: You should contact the US consulate/Embassy in your country of origin for more information on obtaining the appropriate US visa, specific requirements, and about the process.
