Peter Timbie

Minutes

Cong Zhang shared his paper on the receiver and calibration for a 21 cm global spectrum experiment that uses a high-impedance input.   Paper is attached.

Reza reviewed the near final draft of the tNCCSz paper.

Greg, Olivier, Peter went through the paper one more time.  John will take a final look later today.

Our next call will be Tuesday January 6.   Peter proposed that we find a volunteer to review the recent CHIME autodetection paper at this meeting.    A second paper on cosmological interpretation is expected soon.   Anyone interested?

High Precision Calibration of an Operational Amplifier based High-Input-impedance Receiver in the 21-cm Global Spectrum Experiment 20m

Cong ZHANG will discuss his paper, which he has just submitted to the Astronomical Journal. This calibration method is applicable to the type of high-input-impedance 21cm global spectrum receiver similar to the Jeffery Peterson's High-Z (Jeff is listed as one of the authors in this paper).
