    • 2:00 PM 2:05 PM
Cool Copper Collider - Beam Background Studies 5m
Speakers: Elias Mettner (UW-Madison), Abdollah Mohammadi (UW-Madison)

      CIRCE:

      • Last week we had results but weren't fully sure how to interpret them
      • circe_generate output:
        • Since either beam could emit a photon and lose energy, we have to account for the probability of that happening
        • I believe the two values are (1 - "fraction of E lost by photon") for the e+ and e- beam respectively
        • Need to multiply the values with their respective beam energies to get the actual collision energy for the event
      • Within the produced beams.dat file: "weights"
        • The exact same numbers as in lumi-ee.histogram
        • Also in beams.dat there are #bins1: 100 and #bins2: 100, the exact number of weights
        • Probably defining the shape of the beam and weighting by luminosity
      • We want to move forward with this "beams.circe" file
      • Up next: feed beams file into WHIZARD, feed WHIZARD output into GEANT
        • Still need to configure WHIZARD correctly in order to do hadron photoproduction simulation
          • Lindsey says he has detailed notes from Tim Barklow, but Barklow's full gen isn't available yet
        • So there's going to be some mapping/configuring with the available WHIZARD version to do this
    • 2:05 PM 2:15 PM
