      Updates:

      • checked for charged hadrons and neutral hadron component of jets, not much luck finding it so far...
      • using Ndaus>4 reduces fake jets further (see plot 031_)
      • constructed dZ and dR using jet particles, shows interesting features but need further optimization and more complex variables (see plots 29_dZ_ and 29_dR_)
      • using ak7 instead of ak5 recovers some jet energy (see 25_ak7_)
      • now that N fake jets are reduced considerably, the next steps should be to clean the jets to mitigate BIB effects. Will try to use jet cleaning algorithms like soft drop mass, etc this week.
    • 2:50 PM 3:00 PM
Cool Copper Collider - Beam Background Studies 10m
Speakers: Elias Mettner, Abdollah Mohammadi (UW-Madison)
      • Noticed odd/incorrect data in our GuineaPig output, trying to find out why that is and modify GuineaPig code if necessary
      • Produced histograms of output to better see what is going on, both default and modified run parameters
      • Working on getting GuineaPig output into HepMC container, multiple options (HepMC, LHE, or direct insertion)
