The CIPANP Meeting is an opportunity for multiple communities to gather and share knowledge at the intersections of our fields. Attendees can foster old relationships and build new ones. Our goal is that at the end of the meeting, each participant will look back on each interaction as a positive experience.
Presentations are a culmination of significant work spanning years of effort. They are an opportunity to disseminate knowledge, celebrate our achievements, and be introduced to rising stars in our fields. Questions and discussions should be genuine and should be conducted with civility. We are here to learn and help each other in a way that is constructive, not in ways that could be construed as badgering, bullying, or attacking a speaker or a proponent of an idea. Maintaining civil discourse is the responsibility of all participants.
Participants will avoid any inappropriate actions or statements based on individual characteristics such as age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, nationality, political affiliation, ability status, educational background, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Harassment includes, but is not limited to, inappropriate or intimidating behavior and language, unwelcome jokes or comments, unwanted touching or attention, offensive images, photography without permission, and stalking.
It is illegal to create a hostile work environment. Participants who harass others at this meeting will be reported to their home institution, face ejection from the meeting, and will be reported to law enforcement if appropriate. Please report any issues to the organizers.
